Library:
We Indians follow UK English. Even for exams like CAT one should study from books written by UK authors. and for GMAT it is better to read from the books written by USA authors. Why I am making this very clear is because of the kind of questions being asked in the above mentioned exams. If you try and follow UK books for GMAT you might find the structures, spellings and specially idiomatic expressions of the sentences erroneous which means what is considered wrong in UK English actually might turn out to be right in USA English. My experience says that there are certain things in USA English which are quite different from that of UK English. Like when I wanted to tell my manager that I want to resign, I simply said "I want to put down my papers" and he said "what it means!!"
This article is for those privileged people who work , stay or study in cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Chennai and Pune. They can be a member of British library and utilize the opportunity of reading novels from UK. For those who want more information about this can log onto
http://www.britishcouncilonline.org/
Now people who are preparing for GMAT and do not want to spend much on those expensive GMAT books can join USIEF library present in Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi and its satellite centers in Ahmedabad, Bangalore and Hyderabad. But as far as my knowledge is concerned library system is not available in those satellite centers. better check it out! You can log onto to http://www.usief.org.in/index.aspx
